What is the most durable counter top material?
The durability winner is quartz, the man-nature combo countertop. Here's a more masculine Farmhouse. The floors are light and the cabinets are painted a deep teal blue. Note the brown leather sofa and black accents around the room in the lights and ironwork.

Whatever color combo you choose ~ I would try to repeat it in the bathrooms ~ can be totally different tiles ~ whatever ~ just color coordinated. The color palettes shown in the beginning are very neutral for a small space. If you run it thru the whole house ~ it will look larger.

LIGHTING OVER ISLAND
You need to know the width of the island before new wiring is completed in the kitchen so that light boxes are placed properly above.
Will it be a single piece or a double ~ depending on the width of the island. I'm thinking it's about 90 to 96". Would prefer the larger if possible so that a 33" double sink can be used.
