IT'S TIME

I cannot express how disappointed I am in Wayfair right now. After weeks of searching for the right item, at the right price ~ they go and raise the prices. I swear if they see activity on an item ~ especially if it ends up in a shopping cart and not purchased immediately ~ the price will go up.

In fact, on Saturday I found a vanity and 3 days later it was out of stock. It was exclusive to Wayfair because it's been impossible to find it anywhere else. This also happened on a mirror.

Sometimes you have to try all their sites ~ because the same item will show up under a different name and a different price, but end up in the same shopping cart.

On my faucets ~ they were the best price. On my pendant lamp ~ it actually went down in price a bit.

But over all ~ I'm out at least $530 dollars more than the first time I found these items. So I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they go on sale during the Easter Holidays.

What's more frustrating ~ my son was given a code for a 10% discount as a new customer ~ but his code doesn't work for me. It no longer works for him either. They bumped him up to professional.

For our 3rd Floor Man Cave painted in Sherwin Williams Passive - it's more of a soft grayish blue... love it in this large room ~ very calming. I mixed some of the Nebulous blue with more white to create the ceiling color... but ran out of it. So now I need to do a color match.

The stupid (for lack of a better word) contractor built the closet opening 55". Closets doors are usually divisible by 12"... 24, 36, 48, 60. (maybe a 32). So 55" was not going to work. I had to pay someone to make it smaller to 48". Then we had to cut costs on the door ~ so I thought this gray accordion door would be nice looking and retro.

We found these bowling lockers that are 12" wide and about 6 feet tall. The one on the right is the only one we purchased for $45. I'm going to spray them with my sprayer ~ first a gray primer and then a high gloss black enamel. There is a small alcove next to the tub that is 13.5" wide with the baseboards installed. PERFECT.

I just need a day without rain to get the job done...... hasn't happened all week.

This is our new landing light that cost only $25! At the bottom is another spot light. I'll polish up the brass and spray paint the body and arms matte black. Our theme of black and gold continues.

Found these pair at Conjunction Junction for $150. The fixture is definitely old but our luck it's been rewired. I'm separating them and spray painting them black. Used a satin ~ but may redo it with a matte to match the appliances. I just have to find a canopy that holds a chain.
